i sure hope this mmj idea catches on.

in october, my morning jacket will be playing 5 back to back shows at terminal 5 in nyc. according to pitchfork,

“Each night, they’ll play one of their five LPs in its entirety (along with some general encore hits), with each night benefiting a different charity.”

so the first night, the tennessee fire, then at dawn, it still moves, z, and finally evil urges.

awesome idea. more bands should definitely do this. i can think of a handful of bands that i would pay hundreds of dollars to see do this: dmb, ryan adams & the cardinals, andrew bird, rilo kiley, mates of state…basically any of my favorite bands with more than 3 albums.

for me, it would get rid of the agony that comes with guessing setlists. it would also ensure that you got to hear everything. even the rare ones. what dave fan wouldn’t die happy after hearing “spoon?”
